The American Academy of Pediatrics asked a judge to throw out a lawsuit from from a prominent anti-vaccination group that alleged they misled the public about the safety of childhood vaccines.
The AAP filed a motion to dismiss on Friday in a case brought by Children’s Health Defense, a Robert F. Kennedy Jr.-aligned nonprofit at the forefront of efforts questioning the safety of vaccines.
The case is the latest in a series of battles that both groups have undertaken on either side of HHS Secretary Kennedy’s reshaping of federal vaccine policy over the past year.
