The American Academy of Pediatrics is suing the Trump administration over its cancellation of grant funding, alleging the HHS move was in retaliation for the organization’s opposing views on vaccines and gender-affirming care.
A lawsuit filed Wednesday in the US District Court for the District of Columbia alleges the US Department of Health and Human Services violated the First Amendment when it abruptly terminated nearly $12 million in federal awards to the organization.
