Parents Shut Out of Suit Over Washington Child Protection Laws

A group of Washington parents doesn’t have standing to sue over laws defining minors’ rights to access mental-health care without parental notification.

The parents failed to established they’ve been injured or will be injured by provisions allowing minors, especially those experiencing gender dysphoria, to get mental-health treatment, care, and a place to live without immediate parental notification, the US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit said Friday.

The court affirmed a lower court ruling dismissing the suit.
