ONC Launches Interoperability Forum, Unveils More Details About 10-Year Plan

The Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology Aug. 6 launched an online forum on its 10-year plan for improving the interoperability of the nation’s health IT systems, Erica Galvez, the ONC’s interoperability portfolio manager, announced.

The ONC is seeking comment on priorities and use cases for its “interoperability roadmap,” a detailed plan for improving the exchange of health data between health IT systems, Galvez said at a meeting of the Health IT Policy Committee, the main advisory body for the ONC.
