ONC Game Covers Privacy, Security Best Practices

The Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology Sept. 12 released on online game meant to train users on best practices for protecting the privacy and security of clinical data.

The web-based training module, titled CyberSecure: Your Medical Practice, poses scenarios to players in which they must make decisions about privacy and security challenges typical of those in small medical practices, according to an ONC news release about the game. Players earn points by responding correctly to challenges.
