The Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology is reaching out to the IT industry and health care provider community to participate in its Query Health Initiative that launched in early September to develop standards and services for distributed population queries from electronic health records.
In a Sept. 19 news release, ONC said it was seeking “active participation” in the Query Health program, which was designed to advance the use of distributed queries.
Distributed queries involve aggregating patient health care data from EHRs that can be shared without identifying individuals’ information, ONC said.
