Obamacare Preventive Services Coverage Row Proceeds in Texas

A group of religious objectors can proceed with a lawsuit challenging the constitutionality of Obamacare’s requirement that health insurers pay in full for certain preventive health-care services, including a drug to prevent HIV infections, a federal court in Texas said.

The objectors’ suit includes a challenge to the Affordable Care Act’s designation of three groups—the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force, the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices of the Centers for Disease Control, and the Health Resources and Services Administration—to decide which preventive services must be covered.
