Obamacare Premiums Likely to Rise 10 Percent in 2020: Actuary

Premiums for Obamacare plans are likely to go up an average of 10 percent in 2020, an actuary helping several states review rates said.

“The increase this year is going to be a combination of trend [in medical cost inflation] plus the health insurer fee,” David Dillon, senior vice president and principal of actuarial consulting firm Lewis & Ellis Inc. of Allen, Texas, said in an interview.
