NYC Stem Cell Clinic Accused of Selling Unproven Treatments

A New York City stem cell clinic duped consumers into paying thousands of dollars for unproven, potentially harmful procedures, state Attorney General Letitia James (D) alleges.

A state lawsuit, filed April 4 in Supreme Court for New York County, accused the for-profit clinic Park Avenue Stem Cell and its managing doctor, Joel B. Singer, of engaging in fraudulent and deceptive advertising that misled patients into believing that procedures they offered could treat many serious medical conditions.
