A Syracuse, NY doctor can proceed with claims that a fellow obstetrician, her group practice, and a health system fraudulently billed government payers for reading and interpreting diagnostic tests, a federal court said.
The complaint sufficiently said that the defendants submitted or caused to be submitted materially false bills for medical services that were never performed in connection with ultrasound and fetal nonstress tests for Medicaid patients, the US District Court for the Northern District of New Yorks said Wednesday.
