NV Energy Gets Greenlight for 470-Mile Transmission Project

The Bureau of Land Management gave final approval Monday to a transmission line system that is proposed to deliver clean energy between North Las Vegas and Reno, Nevada.

The estimated 472-mile Greenlink West Transmission Project will span through seven counties along with federal, state, private, and Tribal lands to transmit about 4,000 megawatts of power—enough to support at least 4.8 million homes throughout the state, according to the BLM.
