Five people affiliated with two nursing homes in southwest Pennsylvania were acquitted on all federal health-care fraud charges Monday following a five-week jury trial in US District Court in Pittsburgh.
But Comprehensive Healthcare Management Services LLC, doing business as Brighton Rehabilitation and Wellness Center, and Mt. Lebanon Operations LLC, doing business as Mt. Lebanon Rehabilitation and Wellness Center, were both found guilty of making false statements related to the payment of health-care benefits and for the purpose of obstructing and impeding an investigation of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
