Two North Dakota doctors will have to defend a medical malpractice lawsuit in another state following the death of man whose care they consulted on remotely, a Minnesota appeals court said.
The nature and quality of physician Heeraimangalore Manjunath’s contacts with Minnesota within the context of this case were such that he reasonably could have anticipated being sued here, the Minnesota Court of Appeals said Monday in a decision affirming the denial of his motion to dismiss based on lack of jurisdiction.
