Hua Huang and Huiling Wu have been charged for their alleged participation in a scheme to pay kickbacks and bribes to Medicare beneficiaries and Medicaid recipients in New York that resulted in over $10.5 million in total losses, according to the Department of Justice Thursday.
The two allegedly submitted claims for medically unnecessary prescription drugs induced by illegal kickbacks and bribes to three pharmacies in Brooklyn and Queens, including NY Elm Pharmacy Inc. and 888 Pharmacy Inc., said the agency.
They each face a maximum of 10 years in prison if convicted, DOJ said.
