A New York justice on Tuesday ordered the removal of an abortion rights measure from the November ballot, a decision Democratic leaders in the state plan to appeal.
The New York State Legislature violated state law by voting to approve the amendment for the ballot before getting a written opinion from the attorney general, State Supreme Court Justice Daniel J. Doyle wrote in his decision.
