New Interactive Guide on Meaningful Use Incentive Programs Now Available From CMS

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services has created an online guide to assist eligible professionals through all phases of the Medicare electronic health record incentive program—from eligibility and registration to attestation and payment, according to a Dec. 1 update from the agency.

The guide, An Introduction to the Medicare EHR Incentive Program for Eligible Professionals, provides information on:

• EHR incentive program basics;
• how to determine eligibility and register for the program;
• details of the “meaningful use” criteria and choosing optional measures;
• attestation to meaningful use of EHRs; and
