A Muslim dentist didn’t have valid federal discrimination claims against Connecticut officials who sanctioned him for providing insufficient patient care, a federal appeals court said Friday in affirming dismissal of his suit.
Eleventh Amendment immunity, judicial immunity, and prosecutorial immunity all barred Ammar Idlibi’s suit against the Connecticut Department of Public Health, the Connecticut State Dental Commission, and their employees based on sanctions arising from a complaint filed against him, the US Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit said in an unpublished opinion.
