Montana Court Rules Against Parental Consent Abortion Law (1)

Montana’s law requiring parents to consent to an abortion for a minor is unconstitutional, the state Supreme Court said Wednesday in a decision ending a more than decadelong legal battle.

The Montana Supreme Court ruled unanimously that the Parental Consent for Abortion Act, which has been enjoined from enforcement since 2013, violates a minor’s right to privacy.
