Montana health-care providers and patients can move forward with a suit to invalidate a state law that prohibits them from withholding goods, services, or employment based on a person’s vaccination status, a federal court said.
The Montana Medical Association, the Montana Nurses Association, three institutional plaintiffs, and several immunocompromised patients have standing to sue because their inability to require vaccines to reduce transmission risks is an injury directly traceable to the law, the U.S. District Court for the District of Montana said.
