Monkeypox Shots Are Skewed Toward White People, Early Data Show

Much like with Covid-19, the monkeypox health crisis in the US is hitting Black and Hispanic Americans hard. Yet those groups are so far lagging in vaccination rates, early data obtained by Bloomberg News show.

The US, which last Thursday declared monkeypox a public health emergency, is the epicenter of the global outbreak. The majority of cases so far have been concentrated among men who have recently had sex with other men.
