Moderna to Court: Ignore Groups’ Concerns in Covid-Vaccine Clash

Moderna Inc. urged a federal judge to reject two groups’ bids to wade into a lawsuit over patent royalties from its Covid-19 vaccine because they haven’t shown “that they have any special interest” or that their arguments can’t be addressed by the case’s parties.

Billions of dollars in royalties under Moderna’s Operation Warp Speed contract with the US government could ride on which court ultimately handles the infringement suit, Arbutus Biopharma Corp. and Genevant Sciences GmbH told the US District Court for the District of Delaware last week.
