Mississippi Nursing Home Stops Attorney’s False Claims Suit

Mississippi nursing home GGNSC Southaven LLC defeated a False Claims Act suit alleging that it improperly billed Medicaid and Medicare because its nursing director lacked a valid nursing license, a district court ruled.

Whistleblower and attorney Cameron Jehl, who sought over $30 million in damages, alleged that GGNSC knowingly employed the nursing director who wasn’t licensed or lawfully authorized to practice in the state.
