Minnesota Says Court Erred in Pausing Generic Drug Pricing Law

The Minnesota attorney general is asking a federal appeals court to review a December ruling pausing the enforcement of a state generic drug pricing law, arguing the order improperly interfered with the state’s goal to make medicines more affordable.

The US Court of Appeals for the Eight Circuit should vacate a preliminary injunction issued by the US District Court for the District of Minnesota over a state law prohibiting certain price increases for generic drugs, Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison (D) wrote in a brief filed Thursday.
