ATLANTA—A federal jury June 28 convicted four former executives of a Miami-area mental health care hospital in a Medicare fraud scheme involving nearly $70 million in fraudulent billing by Hollywood Pavilion, according to a Department of Justice announcement (United States v. Kallen-Zury).
Karen Kallen-Zury, of Lighthouse Point, Fla., and Daisy Miller, of Hollywood, Fla., were found guilty of one count each of conspiracy to commit wire fraud and health care fraud; five substantive counts each of wire fraud; and two substantive counts each of health care fraud.
