Medtronic Jumps as FDA Clears Insulin Pump With Next-Gen Sensor

Medtronic is up 3.1% in Friday afternoon trading after the FDA approved the MiniMed 780G insulin pump system for modifications to the SmartGuard (SG) Technology and for expanding the indications for use to include the Guardian 4 Sensor.

• Another insulin pump maker, Tandem Diabetes Care, fell as much as 7.7%
• Shares of MDT earlier rose as much as 5.6% to highest since November
