MedImpact Sues Pharmacy Network Over Threat to Curtail Contract

The ability of Medicare beneficiaries in long-term care settings to receive their prescription drugs could be at risk if MHA Long Term Care Network Inc. breaks a contract agreement with a California-based PBM, according to a lawsuit filed Monday.

Pharmacy benefit manager MedImpact Healthcare Systems Inc. is urging the US District Court for the Southern District of California to prohibit MHA from breaching a contract with the company at the end of December. MHA threatened to terminate the contract over reimbursement claims, according to the lawsuit.
