The Trump administration will trim the number of Medicare alternative payment models run by the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation, a move that will save nearly $750 million, the Medicare agency announced Wednesday.
After a review of the innovation center’s payment model portfolio, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services has “identified models that will conclude as scheduled and others that will end early on December 31, 2025—saving the American taxpayer almost $750,000,000,” a press statement said.
