Medicare Mental Health Bills Get Boost From House Committee

The House Ways and Means Committee advanced a package of legislative proposals designed to improve Medicare coverage of mental health services during a markup hearing Wednesday.

“The package of bipartisan bills before us today are a significant step forward in not just addressing the mental health crisis in America, but also making meaningful changes to our health systems to better support patients who are struggling,” said Rep. Judy Chu (D-Calif.), a psychologist.
