Medicare Managed Care, Part D Premiums Projected to Fall in 2025 (1)

Average premiums are projected to decline next year for both private Medicare Advantage plans and Medicare Part D prescription drug plans, while benefits and plan choices will remain stable for both offerings, the Biden administration announced Friday.

The information about access, enrollment, premiums, and benefits for Medicare Advantage and Part D plans comes as Medicare open enrollment period begins on Oct. 15 and runs through Dec. 7.

The findings appear to counter widespread industry concerns of fewer Medicare Advantage plan offerings and reduced supplemental benefits next year due to recent rulemaking that has lowered reimbursements.
