Two Rhode Island doctors must arbitrate breach of contract claims arising out of their participation in the Medicare Shared Savings Program.
Michael Hayden and John Corsi are bound by broad arbitration clauses in their contracts with Rhode Island Primary Care Physicians Corporation that related to their participation in an Accountable Care Organization, the Rhode Island Supreme Court said.
Corsi and a third doctor, Gary King, don’t have to arbitrate unjust enrichment and conversion claims because they didn’t arise out of the contracts, the court said.
