MEDfx to Demo Data Exchange Using Combined Direct Project, CONNECT Protocols

Health information technology firm MEDfx announced Feb. 4 it is working on a pilot project with MedVirginia, a physician-owned health information exchange organization in Virginia, to demonstrate data exchange using a combination of standards and protocols supported by the Direct Project and the federal health architecture CONNECT gateway.

The pilot will demonstrate how Direct Project and CONNECT protocols can be used interchangeably to transport clinical messages among providers and care managers, MEDfx said in a news release.
