Massachusetts Sues Online E-Cigarette Sellers Over New Ban (1)

Eight companies are selling flavored e-cigarettes in Massachusetts in violation of a new state law, Massachusetts Attorney General claims in a lawsuit filed in state court.

In November, Massachusetts became the first state in the nation to outlaw the sales of flavored nicotine products in stores or via online.

“These companies are in flagrant violation of our new state law that was put in place to protect young people from the serious harms caused by vaping,” Massachusetts Attorney General Maura Healey (D) said in a statement announcing the lawsuit, filed Dec. 23 in Suffolk Superior Court.
