The Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act of 2015 replaces the sustainable growth rate formula for Medicare physician payment with the Merit-Based Incentive Payment System.
Although many of the provisions aimed at replacing the SGR as a formula to reimburse physicians unfold over the next few years, medical professionals can look to some requirements during 2016, as reported by the Congressional Research Service (http://www.fas.org/sgp/crs/misc/R43962.pdf).
