Looming Medical Device Tax Has Makers Rushing to Capitol Hill

The medical device industry pushed for face time with lawmakers just days before Congress is expected to close shop for the year and a fee on medical products is set to take effect.

AdvaMed and a number of its members’ CEOs flew in to Washington Dec. 12 to ask lawmakers in person for a full repeal of the medical device tax—an ask that the industry has been making for at least four years.
