Lockheed Martin Gets $1.25 Million Health Notice Settlement OK’d

Lockheed Martin Corp. can pay $1.25 million to settle a lawsuit by former employees who said they didn’t receive proper notice of their right to stay on the company health plan, the Middle District of Florida ruled.

The deal, which received final court approval Dec. 11, will pay about $14 to each of 54,000 class members, after accounting for attorneys’ fees and expenses. Any unclaimed payments will go to the Camaraderie Foundation, a Florida group providing counseling and mental health services to military service members and veterans, according to settlement paperwork.
