LifeBrite Laboratories, an Atlanta-based clinical testing service, and its owner Christian Fletcher, filed a lawsuit Thursday against five major health insurance companies, alleging malicious prosecution, racketeering, and defamation.
The complaint, filed by Miller Barondess LLP in the Georgia State Court in Gwinnett County, on behalf of LifeBrite and CEO Christian Fletcher, follows a federal suit against Fletcher involving the health insurers in which he was acquitted in March. LifeBrite and Fletcher’s suit alleges the insurers intentionally destroyed LifeBrite’s business and reputation.
