Leidos, Cerner to Gain as VA Adopts DOD Health Records System

The Veterans Affairs Department has chosen a solution to a decades-old challenge: getting its electronic health records system to operate seamlessly with the Defense Department’s system. It will not involve a full-and-open competition.

Veterans Affairs Secretary David Shulkin announced June 5 that the VA will adopt the Defense Department’s Military Health Systems (MHS) GENESIS.
