Questions Linger Over HHS Approach to Cybersecurity

Questions linger over how the Department of Health and Human Services is securing its data against cyberattacks, and Congress is looking for some answers.

The Senate Finance Committee released a letter April 11 raising concerns that the HHS isn’t taking appropriate steps to fix cybersecurity vulnerabilities that could leave the department open to attacks from foreign governments.

The letter referenced a March report from the HHS Office of Inspector General that uncovered cybersecurity vulnerabilities.
