Land O’Lakes Expands Health Program Using Trump Rule

Land O’Lakes Inc. is relying on a Trump administration association health plan final rule to expand insurance options to its farmers nationwide.

Land O’Lakes is a member-owned agriculture and dairy cooperative based in Arden Hills, Minn. It hopes to use a 2017 Minnesota statute (SF 1) and a final rule the Trump administration released in June to offer health plans to 300,000 eligible farmers, including some outside of the state.
