A Kentucky physician lost his constitutional challenge to a state law that allows its medical board to bring disciplinary actions against doctors based on hospitals’ privileging decisions.
The law is reasonably designed to give physicians notice of a medical board hearing and an opportunity to be heard, the Kentucky Court of Appeals said June 2. It didn’t in this instance deprive Denis Yalkut of his due process rights, the court said in its unpublished opinion.
