Justices Won’t Consider Michigan Newborn Blood Screening Case

The US Supreme Court won’t review the constitutionality of Michigan’s newborn blood spot and data retention program, the justices announced Monday.

The justices’ decision not to hear the case could have national implications, as every state has a newborn blood screening program and over 98% of children born in the US are tested at birth.
