Parties in nationwide PFAS litigation should work to settle personal injury claims before the first bellwether cases come to trial in October, a federal district judge said.
Judge Richard M. Gergel, with the US District Court for the District of South Carolina, also urged attorneys to file motions to push forward disputes about whether the federal government must compensate plaintiffs for money they’ve spent cleaning up two “forever chemicals” that are hazardous Superfund substances.
