Judge Trims Lilly Suit Over Mass Produced Copycat Obesity Drugs

A federal judge allowed some of Eli Lilly & Co.‘s claims to proceed that allege a Texas-based compounding pharmacy violated several state laws when it produced copycat versions of the drugmaker’s Mounjaro and Zepbound.

Lilly can reasonably prove that Revive Rx LLC violated certain state unfair competition laws when it created compounded versions of the obesity and diabetes drugs, Judge Lee Rosenthal for the US District Court for the District of Southern Texas said in an order dated Monday.
