A federal judge appeared skeptical Friday of the US government’s planned implementation of a drug rebate pilot, weighing whether the program should be temporarily halted before it goes into effect in January.

“How can you claim to consider administrative costs if you don’t know the costs” of implementing the 340B Rebate Model Pilot Program, Chief Judge Lance E. Walker of the US District Court for the District of Maine asked the Department of Health and Human Services’ lawyer in an oral argument.
