Insulin Cap Supporters Say Schumer Could Bridge Divide (Correct)

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer has spent nearly two years promising to extend Medicare’s $35 per-month cap on insulin costs to private insurance.

Backers of the legislation in the Senate now say it’s Schumer keeping it off the floor.

“It’s up to him,” Sen. John Kennedy (R-La.), who has sponsored an insulin cap bill with Sen. Raphael Warnock (D-Ga.) said. “He has the authority and the unfettered discretion to bring a bill to the floor or not bring it as the case may be.”
