Medicare payments to hospitals under the inpatient prospective payment system (IPPS) would increase 0.8 percent in fiscal year 2014 under a proposed rule released April 26 by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.
The proposed rule will be published in the Federal Register May 10. Comments are due June 25 and a final rule is due by Aug. 1, CMS said.
