IMS Divests Certain Assets Under FTC Agreement

Health care information company IMS Health Jan. 17 said that it has entered into an agreement with inVentiv Health to divest certain promotional and medical market research products of SDI Health, a Pennsylvania-based company that IMS acquired.

The divested products represent less than $15 million or approximately 10 percent of SDI’s 2011 revenue, Danbury, Conn.-based IMS said. IMS said it completed the purchase of SDI on Oct. 31, 2011, and as part of that transaction agreed to divest 11 SDI data products to satisfy Federal Trade Commission regulatory requirements.
