Writing for the first time on the scope of the state’s Good Samaritan law, the Illinois Supreme Court March 20 said a physician isn’t immune from liability if he received compensation for his services (Home Star Bank & Fin. Servs. v. Emergency Care & Health Org., Ltd., Ill., 115526, 3/20/14).
