Illinois health-care professionals convicted of sexual abuse of a patient or any crime requiring inclusion in the state’s sex offender registry will have their medical licenses permanently revoked under a 2011 law upheld by the state supreme court Oct. 17 (Hayashi v. Ill. Dep’t of Fin. & Prof’l Regulation, , 2014 BL 291506, Ill., 116023, 10/17/14).
