Humana and a group of live-in home health-care employees urged a Connecticut federal court to preliminarily approve a $17 million class deal resolving allegations they weren’t properly paid overtime.
Settlement would avoid a lengthy trial over complex legal and factual issues, and inevitable appeals, the March 26 joint motion for tentative approval to the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut said.
